Changelog

Release history for WorldCore. All notable changes documented here.

v1.7.1

Latest

Added

  • File claims: an agent that edits a file claims it, and another agent trying to edit the same file is told who holds it, so they coordinate instead of overwriting each other
  • MCP tools file_claim, file_release and file_claims for agent CLIs without hooks

Fixed

  • Agent-to-agent messages are no longer typed into terminals: Claude Code agents get them at the end of their turn, and other agents read their inbox
  • Agent terminals no longer inherit the session of a Claude Code instance that started WorldCore
  • Pasting no longer asks for clipboard permission, and WorldMemory's folder stays out of the sidebar

v1.7.0

Changed

  • New desktop design: one design system across every screen, a light theme next to the dark ones, and WCAG 2.2 AA contrast in every built-in theme
  • Home is a module launcher with live status for workspaces, swarms, canvases, notes, tasks and WorldVoice
  • Ctrl+1 to Ctrl+6 open the modules and Ctrl+, opens Settings
  • WorldVoice has its own page with dictation settings and credits, and the floating widget follows the app theme
  • Settings show the plan from your subscription and open your worldcore.hu account for billing

Added

  • Terminal-to-terminal messaging: agents list the terminals of their workspace and message each other over the built-in MCP server
  • Agent and Thread chat panels for Claude, Codex, Gemini and Grok in a workspace folder
  • Sidebar menus to pin, rename and manage worktrees, notification sounds, and plugin and skill imports for Claude and Codex

v1.6.0

Added

  • Sign in to the desktop app with your worldcore.hu account
  • The desktop app updates itself from worldcore.hu
  • Teams with seat-based membership, plus credit accounts and credit packs
  • WorldVoice credits in Settings, priced per transcription model
  • MCP servers sync into every agent CLI config, and the central MCP assigns agent CLIs, models and tasks

v0.3.0

Added

  • WorldCore initial public release — desktop app, swarm engine, and marketing site ship together
  • worldcore Python CLI — standalone swarm coordination engine with file-based transport
  • FastMCP server — built-in MCP server with 16 tools, 6 resources, and 3 prompts over STDIO and HTTP
  • Three workspace modes: WorldSpace (terminal grid), WorldSwarm (multi-agent coordination), WorldCanvas (free-form canvas, Alpha)
  • TOML team templates: fullstack-app, ml-research, hedge-fund, static-website
  • Pro trial activation with 5-layer abuse protection (email hash, device fingerprint, IP hash, card fingerprint, rate limit)

Changed

  • WorldCore swarm engine v1.0.0 — original Python CLI, binary is `worldcore`
  • Transport layer supports file-based (default), P2P via ZeroMQ (Pro), and Redis (Team)

Fixed

  • Agent status glow animation now correctly resets when agent goes idle
  • License cache invalidation on device fingerprint mismatch

v0.1.0

Added

  • Desktop app built with Tauri v2, React 18 TypeScript, and xterm.js terminal emulation
  • WorldSpace: split-pane terminal grid with horizontal/vertical splitting and workspace tabs
  • WorldSwarm: visual agent dashboard with real-time status polling, Kanban board, and agent inbox
  • WorldCanvas: free-form canvas with draggable, resizable terminal panes (Alpha)
  • AppShell with TopBar, StatusBar, and full keyboard shortcut system
  • Settings panel with 9 tabs: Account, Appearance, Shortcuts, AI Agents, WorldVoice, Notifications, CLI, Terminal, API Keys
  • Rust backend: license validation, OS keychain storage, PTY shell management, device fingerprinting
  • Supabase backend: 6-table PostgreSQL schema with RLS, Edge Functions, Stripe Checkout and Customer Portal
  • Marketing website with Next.js: homepage, pricing, and download pages

Format follows Keep a Changelog. WorldCore uses Semantic Versioning.
